“Better pass boldly into that other world, in the full glory of some passion than fade and wither away dismally with age.” James Joyce

Lying so still,

So at peace

It fears nothing now

The seasons have done their deed.

Sleep, rest now.

Time has come and gone

You now hear your mourning song;

Lie there and wait

The dying call awaits

As time brings in death

It also brings in change.

So wait, this too shall pass

It will wither and fade

And new life shall stem

Seeking the light of a new day.
