Sides

“The sun loved the moon so much; He died every night to let her breathe.”

Like the sun,

He was bright and warm.

Scorched her skin with passion.

Left her soul burning.

Bright with happiness.

He was her glow.

But he knew, she belonged to the night.

Like any star he burnt away.

For his moon to glow.

The sun died away.

And their love hid;

Each side, lifetimes away.

Revolving around time’s fated play.
