Sakura in July~

“The Summer looks out from her brazen tower,
Through the flashing bars of July.”
–  Francis Thompson

Here we go again,

You and I.

Caught in the mist of summer

The breeze blows on by;

I find thee there

Among the cherry blossoms

Odd, how they bloom

As though Spring never left.

But there you are

Lovelier than all the flowers

Cheeks of pink

You blush as they bloom.

If only  time didn’t change too soon.

On a Summer’s day,

July and her sway;

The breeze calls you close

Sakura, my host.

Won’t you stay?

Did the heat leave you dazed?

If you go,

When will the blossoms bloom again?

If Summer is here,winter isn’t far away.
